DABG (Dr. Anna Bauthen Gesellschaft), based in Vienna, is one of the leading timber trading companies in Central Europe. For more than 35 years, we have been offering excellent service and high-quality (sawn) softwood to wholesalers and importers in the MENA region. Since 2018, we have been a full member of the HS Timber Group and benefit from an extensive network.
We have been a reliable partner to our customers in more than 20 countries for more than 35 years. In late 1983, DABG (Dr. Anna Bauthen Gesellschaft) was established by Georg Rotter. Initially, the business simply started with the trading of Austrian sawn softwood to Saudi Arabia, but soon more customers were impressed by DABG’s high-quality timber products. Today, we conduct business in large parts of North Africa, East Africa and in the Middle East. After a longstanding, successful co-operation, we ultimately became a part of the HS Timber Group in 2018. However, the name DABG remained, together with its ongoing commitment to the highest quality and service.

For more than 35 years, our team has mainly dealt with spruce timber and other wood-based materials such as blockboards or formwork panels. Our high-quality products are used in a variety of applications – from construction and concrete formwork in the building sector to the manufacture of furniture and interior designs.
Success does not come by itself. We have established ourselves as the pioneer of modern and reliable timber trading due to our continuous development and improvement of delivery service, package design and quality control.

We are a reliable partner for wholesalers and importers in more than 20 countries with a focus on the MENA region. The sawmill production of our partners in Austria, Romania and Germany, is followed by delivery and logistics in the respective port, before the timber is shipped in containers to the port of destination and is again exported and cleared by the customer.
